Videos

English Code provides teachers and students with a wide range of audio-visual material.

Grammar
  • In levels Starter 1-3 each unit is accompanied by a grammar animation which includes the characters from the unit story. These videos serve to provide the language and structures in context. This helps students to see language in practice before learning the theory or applying the language themselves.
  • For Levels 4-6 we provide grammar game videos. The purpose of these is to show language in context. As well as being highly engaging and instructional, the games have been created with the idea that teachers will reproduce them in the class setting.
STEAM
  • Each unit of English Code includes a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) lesson. In addition to a reading text and an engaging and creative class experiment, this lesson also includes a short video to help students visualize the concept. Some of these videos come from the bestselling UK Science Bug platform as well as completely original video. For some of the videos we are also providing additional teaching support material including worksheets.
Phonics
  • The phonics videos provide support for learners who are struggling to pronounce the sounds. They show a close up of someone pronouncing the sound so students can learn the shape their mouth and lips need to make in order to correctly pronounce the words.
