Overview
The Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention Systems (K-8) are designed as supplemental, small group, targeted interventions to support students who find reading and writing challenging. These systems are designed to bring students up to grade level reading competency by offering clear, explicit, daily instruction focused on developing reading comprehension, fluency, and attending to fundamental writing process skills. The systems include engaging, leveled, guiding reading texts, Lesson Guides, Program Guide, and Assessment, with embedded professional learning to support teaching and learning. The workshops are designed to support the educator in delivering effective implementation of a system within a school. Note: These workshops are intended for teachers already implementing LLI systems to enhance effective instruction Audience K-8 teachers, Literacy coaches, Resource teachers and Literacy Consultants.
