Receiving Checklist

YourFPC Collection comes in multiple boxes. Refer to the packing slip sent with the shipment (you will find the packing slip attached to one of the boxes in a red plastic pouch.) This lists all of the boxes included in the shipment. It is best to use the ISBNs to match the boxes to the packing slip.

Unpacking Checklist

This checklist details what is included in each box. This is found in the Teacher Box (the smallest box). Use this checklist as you unpack each box, checking off each component as you unpack it.

There is a wealth of online resources to support your implementation and use of your FPC resources.

Online Resources (OLR)

Included with your System purchase is access to the LLI Online Resources. The OLR site provides hundreds of printable resources such as recording forms, record-keeping tools, activity linemasters, assessment tools, and parent letters as well as professional development videos to help you achieve the maximum impact using your new system.

To register for the OLR…

Locate the Product Code on the inside front cover of the Collection Guide (IRA, SR, GR, BC, IR), Lesson Book (PWS), or RML book.
Go to fountasandpinnell.com and select ONLINE RESOURCES in the top menu bar. This will lead you to the login page.
If you are accessing Fountas & Pinnell Online Resources for the first time, select REGISTER in the Sign Up section on the left. Follow the instructions to set up your account and add your new FPC system.
If you have previously registered for any Fountas & Pinnell Online Resources, login to your account and select ADD NEW PRODUCT in the top right corner of the screen. Follow the instructions to add your new FPC System OLR to your account.
If you have any questions while you are registering, you can use the online chat to connect with Technical Support (button located in the bottom right corner of your screen).

VIEW the FPC Professional Development and Tutorial videos on the Online Resources. These short, focused videos provide an overview of the system, modeled lessons, and practice on interpreting reading records to inform instruction.

Implementation Support Online Course

This implementation support course delivers video and interactive sessions that focus on the seven instructional contexts of the FPC. In this implementation support course, you will be guided in:

Building familiarity with the professional resources that support the implementation of FPC
Getting started with each instructional context
Fitting it all together - connecting contexts across the day, week and year

Partner with Fountas & Pinnell Professional Development to transform teaching and learning.

The single most important factor in students' literacy success is skillful, informed teaching. All of Fountas and Pinnell's books, resources, and systems are deeply rooted in teacher professional learning.

Pearson Canada is pleased to offer onsite or virtual professional development sessions led by Fountas & Pinnell trained consultants. We will work with you to develop a professional learning plan that supports implementation and develops a deeper understanding of literacy teaching and learning.

Prices for these sessions are $3,800/day for live onsite sessions and $3,300/day for virtual sessions (maximum 40 participants)
