Ready, Set, Spark!

Spark Reading Newsletter | March 2024

Hello Spark teachers!

Welcome to our March newsletter! This month, we're sharing two new Spark Reading features —one that introduces you to new books and another that makes student logins quick and easy. We'll also share how you can win a free year of Spark with our new contest on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter). Ready? Let's go!

Explore Our New Features!

Monthly Featured Books

Log into Spark this month, and you'll find our new "Featured Books" section, where we highlight a set of books related to a theme every month. Featured Books is the perfect way to explore new books in Spark or save yourself a few minutes of prep time.

This month's Featured Books theme is Animals in Water.

This feature is only available to teachers and is visible at the top of your screen each time you log in.

Faster Student Logins!

Up next is a time-saving feature that will have kids logged in to Spark and reading faster than ever—easier student logins! Now, when you share your Spark login link with students, the class code is embedded directly into the URL.

Here's how it works:

  • Under the Students heading, find the Class Code icon on the left side of the page (see image below)
  • Copy the unique login link for your class
  • Share it with students
  • Have students bookmark the URL for quick access to Spark Reading
It's that easy. Try it and tell us what you think on 𝕏 (Formerly Twitter) with hashtag #SparkReading.
