For as long as I can remember, I have been a teacher in some capacity. I have taught throughout my life in a variety of capacities and across the spectrum. After completing my Master’s Degree, I began teaching at Lakehead University - Thunder Bay Campus, alongside Dr. Alex Lawson, in the Bachelor of Education Department. The work of digging into how people (children and adults) learn the key ideas of mathematics and finding ways to support that learning brings me great joy. I work with educators on a regular basis to support them to understand the Continuum of Student Development in Mathematics developed by Alex Lawson. My own personal areas of interest include the development of multiplicative and proportional reasoning. I could geek out for hours about either one of those topics.
