In this session, we will give an overview of Math 180, a digital intervention program designed around foundational number and algebra concepts. The variety of engaging aspects of this intervention program include real-world videos, tutorial videos, step-by-step support, assessments, as well as games to reinforce their learning. Students proceed at their own pace through the program. Educators have materials to further support their students based on the data from their individual work within Math 180. Through a balance of student work and teacher support, Math 180 can have a significant impact on your learners who need a new solution to their identified learning needs.

Representations and visualizing are critical competencies in student mathematics learning. Interactive tools provide educators opportunities to demonstrate concepts, conduct math talks and show student thinking. Students can use these tools to solve problems, make sense of concepts, test conjectures, practice and play with various math concepts. We will choose a few tools to play with and support you to be comfortable using them with students in your class.
