A Bright New Day is an adventure fantasy about two children on a journey, with the rest of mankind, to find a new planet to live on. After racing past the moon, finding a planet that was already inhabited, and landing upside down, they finally find a new place to live.
The story unfolds in third-person narrative following a single plot line. The format is a beginning chapter book with illustrations that support and enhance the text.
A Bright New Day uses some sentences that begin with subordinate clauses, phrases, or transitional words. The text uses a wide variety of punctuation (period, comma, quotation marks, question marks, and exclamation points). A lot of dialogue is presented within the text in a variety of ways, including dialogue from multiple characters and unassigned dialogue.
