in spark reading if you see a red number on the notifications icon it means your teacher has sent you books
your teacher may send you books with a feature called listen to myself reading
you will see a yellow Banner on the cover of the book that has this feature
you can also choose a book with this feature when you are searching for books in your reading color level in the library

you can record yourself reading and then listen to the recording
you can self-assess and focus on improving your fluency
to locate listen to myself reading within the book scroll toward the end of the book

follow the instructions on this page

now Click the microphone icon

click record, click allow in the pop-up message about using the microphone
Now read aloud the text shown from the book, use the scroll bar if you need to
click stop when your recording is done

play the recording back or try the recording again
the recording cannot be shared with your teacher because the recording may not be downloaded to your device
close the Box and tab and return to the listen to myself reading page
now you can answer the questions
You may wish to record or write your answers and you can share your responses with your teacher
