in the teacher site you have access to the entire library of books to find books you can use the search bar to search by title author or keyword or you can use the filters to find books by language, reading level, decodable (which allows you to find books that support phonics instruction), topic, subject area, genre, and comprehension which relates to the interactive activities within the books. for example to search by language of books you can choose between English and French. to search by reading level you can choose between searching by color section, guided reading level, or DRA level. the color sections are reading ranges that are associated with developmental stages. for example the yellow color section contains guided reading levels F to H and is associated with developmental stage early. note that while students can filter by color section they do not see the associated guided reading levels or developmental stages. also students do not have the comprehension filter. if you wanted to filter by guided reading levels O P and Q simply select O P and Q and you will see only those books. to close a filter click the X beside the filter name. to remove all filters click reset filters. [Music] remember that you can use multiple filters at the same time to further refine your search results. for example you can further refine your search of O P and Q books by selecting topic Sports and genre non-fiction. once you have found books you want to assign to your students you can use the check boxes in the top right corner of each book to select the ones you want, or you can click select all to select all the books from your search. then click Send books and select the students you want to send them to. you can also turn the interactive activities and audio on or off. once you have sent the books they will appear in those students’ From My Teacher tab when they log in. as you choose books to assign you may want to consider using the comprehension fluency filter to assign books that have a "listen to myself reading" feature. select listen to myself reading. there are two books at each guided reading level from D to Z. the listen to myself reading feature is found at the end of each book and can help students self-assess their reading fluency by recording themselves reading and then listening to the recording. note that due to Canadian privacy laws the recordings cannot be downloaded or saved. thanks for watching this video about how to find and send books in Spark Reading.
