to use spark reading your teacher will give you a class code and a password to log in go to spark.pearson.com and select student enter your class code and click the arrow then find the shape with your name underneath it and select the shape if you have an image password select your image in spark reading you will see all the books your teacher has sent you in from my teacher you will also see how many books you have read you can sort books by using the tabs at the top to open a book click or tap anywhere on the cover then use the arrows to flip the pages to hear the book read aloud use the play button you can also use the paintbrush icon to open some annotation tools [Music] foreign ly if you see a yellow gem icon select it to open an interactive activity you also have access to all the books in the spark reading Library again you can sort the books by using the tabs at the top use the find books tab to search for new books the first thing you'll want to do is select your language of books then you may want to find books by section the color section tells you the reading range your teacher will tell you which color section you should use to find books when you find a book you want to read click or tap anywhere on the cover to open it just like in the from my teacher section [Music] when you are finished reading a book click the X in the top right to close the book you will notice that your number of books read has changed to show that you have read another book if you have only read some pages of a book the green bar at the bottom will show that the book is not yet finished [Music] to Mark a book as a favorite select the heart icon for more how-to videos and detailed support Pages go to the help site thanks for watching this video about how to use the spark reading student site
