to get started in spark reading as a teacher go to spark.pearson.com and click teacher enter your username and password and click login from the library tab you can search select and send books to your students to find books you can filter books in multiple ways such as by reading level or subject area or use decodable to find books that support phonics instruction you can also use the search bar let's look at an example you could use the filters to search by guided reading level huge the check box to select individual books or click select all to select all the books from your search then send books to your students those books will now appear for those students in there from my teacher tab when they log in to open a book click anywhere on the cover to close a book click the home button if you want to find more information about a book click the more icon to see a brief description from here you can also open the book send the book or access the teaching note which contains open-ended questions unique to each book the collections tab shows any collection of books that you have created and saved once you have a collection you can assign it to any of your students to see information about your students go to the students tab you will see a high level summary of your whole class select any student to see detailed information about the books they have read finally the teachers tab allows you to add co-teachers to your class for more how-to videos and detailed support Pages go to the help site thanks for watching this video about how to use the spark reading teacher site
