Introduction positon like to present myself I'm Denis Cousineau and I'm here and I speak to you about Marisa Navy and I would like to suggest to you a very important part of this this new resource it's about the action oriented tasks that are in the resource these are very very important for the development of our all of our learners it is very important that students go through a process where the situations are authentic they are potentially real where the students then will see their role and they will understand like their their purpose in the actions these ActionOriented Tasks speaking interactions need to have a context and the problem in the past have been many times where students are behaving - please teachers they do the tasks where they think we have to comply and basically they do not see themselves in the roles what we're trying to do with a true authentic task is to see the reality and to be able to solve problems and to find solutions to the problems that we have to help you understand I'm True Authentic Tasks gonna give you an an on example in an in a true example in a non example most students come back in September and teachers ask them to recount or talk about an event that happened in the summer in an FSL context basically teachers looking for vertex am I going to be hearing pasta Campos a is named parfait going to be their students who are preparing these tasks are basically trying to comply and please the teachers by provide providing as many of those in there without necessarily thinking or going over the whole content of the speaking so the speaking in itself has no true roots if we want because basically it's all about talking to the whole classroom without a real context now in a true authentic past basically we will face a situation so let's pretend now that we are in the shopping center and we are some one of our members and the family has lost an important jewel or an important belonging then the responsibility goes right to the task we have to go and get somehow we need to get people to help us find the objects so with the social linguistic rules apply I have to explain the situation I have to be polite I have to describe the object and hopefully find solution so basically as a learner when I am in those speaking situation or speaking interactions there is a purpose there's a real need for me to be good and to be developing those skills so that I'm people can understand my issues or my problems then I'm not speaking to please a teacher I'm speaking to resolve my issues and if learners see those situations they're likely going to be engaged in FSL
