we've got LeeAnn Miranda is on the line from one of our Pearson salespeople and Miranda just to let you know I think we might have someone from every province in almost every territory here in Canada today yes exciting okay good stuff um so feel free to ask questions along the way normal only we take a second to do a poll what we're gonna do right now is just quickly make sure that your chat works you've already introduced yourself Kim asked you to do all panelists and attendees but I'm winging it I'm gonna go with just a yes/no question have you used mythology for more than one month so yes or no into the chat have you used mythology for more than one month yes or no I'm getting about two-thirds no and one-third yes as it seems like for every to knows there's a yes okay that's really great cuz I am known to be a fast talker I will try my best to slow down but please ask questions along the way this is just good for me to get a sense of those that are brand-new to mythology and those that have been using it for a little while so let's get going so today Overview we're gonna do a quick overview of using mythology with the planning and the differentiation in mind for both at school and at home we're gonna walk you through some parts of the learning progression as well as the mythology little books and the activities and we will do that and give you a demo of mythology CA we will talk about that the components that are currently free and then also the components that are available for purchase so currently you've got open access to the little books and parent letters and mythology dossier and that will be coming to an end shortly June 30th but of course all of the stuff that's been available in open access will be available for purchase as well and I'll be walking you through some of those components as far as the print and the digital pieces so that's ology as a family of resources from K to 8 currently the bottom row that you see are the pieces that help the building blocks that helped us build mythology you've got the research document that's available online that you can just google and find all of our research that we did before we began building mythology the learning pression is our continuum from k to 3 that's available to show how the math progresses between the grades over time we've also got the professional learning resources that you might be familiar with things like what to look for or taking shape or even vanduul and then of course implementation support that follows some of these webinars and then on the top row you've got some of the materials so we've got little books from k23 that i'll walk you through today we've also got activity kits grade 1 and 2 in french and 3 is coming in september in english and then we'll follow in frame which and then mythology dossier and I'll be walking through the components of that as well today so what is the learning progression learning correction is just Learning Progression a step-by-step look at how math develops over time it's organized by the math strands and then sub categorized into Big Ideas conceptual threads and indicators and it was developed in Alberta at the University of Alberta by dr. Lynn McGarvey she took all the different progressions that we've seen across Canada and even in North America and she put together something like this that reflects Canadian curriculum as well as developmental understanding of mathematics and so it looks something like this here's one of our page spreads for number and the big idea quantities and numbers can be added and subtracted to determine how many and how much this is one of the pages and as you see it's split into two conceptual threads we've got conceptual meanings of addition and subtraction and fluency of addition subtraction and as it progresses you move from early understandings inkay over at the left-hand side - later understandings in grade three on the right hand side and so for each one of the strands we've got a series of big ideas thirteen big ideas across the strands and so this can help with planning when you know where students are coming from and where they'll be going - I saw someone in the chat mentioned that they teach grade four and this is really important to see where are those students in your class coming from in order to know what their needs might be in your class so let's start with the little books the little books are built along a progression or a learning pathway organized by Big Ideas so here's the firt one of the big ideas that quantities and numbers can be added and subtracted just like I showed you and so these are the stories that progress over time from grade one where we have that's ten where they add and subtract to ten and compose and decompose to ten all along the pathway in an order up to grade two books and then the next pathway will show you the grade three books so these books can be used in a sequence to follow along that same big idea over time and see how those concepts develop over time we've got 72 titles from k23 half of them being a number and then half in the other strands so here these stories were written to help support differentiation flexibility and engagement they're bright they're colorful students love them and there are about 20 books in grade 2 and they're like I mentioned organized by Big Idea 1/2 number 1/2 all the other strands and for each one of the stories there's a cross strand connection so you might be working on perhaps number but there may also be patterns involved as well or you may be working on data but there may be number involved as well so all of those stories will have those cross trans connections for you in addition we've got indigenous kin actions that have been written by Canadian indigenous authors and educators like sharing our stories you see here each grade has two to four books that will address some of those concepts and again all of this material has been adapted for French so let's take a moment to use the chat Using the Chat again this is a two-page spread from a raised bakery and I don't know if you're anything like me but you visited two importance before we're kind of missing it these days so here's a spread that will remind us of what we have perhaps not seen in a little while what math do you see just by looking at these pictures I'll give you a second to just drop that in the chat so Miranda we're seeing counting and division counting by fives estimation multiplying addition subtraction more subtraction arrays area model listening education amazing their friend Lisa measuring if you're baking those muffins at home and not going to Tim Hortons anymore or Ray's bakery so there's layers of different math that you definitely can see in those voting random even got fractions and we've got data collection here - oh my gosh amazing that's great so all of these stories I'm using the wordless text image right here where I'm just focusing on the images and getting you to have a conversation about what math you might see and you might be doing this with students where you might just project an image and ask some questions but you might get them to generate some of the questions as well which is a great way to use some of these stories so here in the bottom right corner you see that this is a Ray's bakery and this has been written for grade two students in Activity Kit addition to the little books we also have an activity kit so I'm gonna walk you through all the print components first and then show you how it lives digitally so this is another one of our print components in the top right corner you see the two boxes and if you purchase the print components you get two boxes half number so the first box will all be number and the second box will be all the other strands and of course these were again written to help provide teachers with engaging lessons some tips about what to look for and some probing questions that you might use when you're talking to students or maybe you're meeting them these days virtually there's assessment and next step supports on the back of the card and these are all little cards that fit in the box they even carry around with you there's also another layer of math everyday cards and intervention cards that I will go into but we've got over a hundred activities with built-in accommodations and extensions and combined grade support and just over half of them have accompanying colorful engaging student cards that have that differentiation built in and of course all of these again are adapted for French so I'm gonna give you a chance to chat again do you see any opportunities here to differentiate what might that differentiation look like for the students in your class so here's the front of one of our cards and the back of another one working on the same concept of grouping to count so I'll give you a second to drop that into the chat it's great with so many on we get fast answers we got some really fast thinkers here counting by tens sorting or estimation sort by color sort by vehicles lots of estimation again some data management skip counting amazing counting wheels Oh targets specific interests of students to get out definitely so you've got differentiation as as far as interest goes I'm not sure if you can see from here but the quantity varies depending on the side that you choose as well as the organisation will differentiate as well so you see the trucks and the cars are lined up a little bit more then say the dinosaurs that are scattered so you might be using different strategies to work on the modes of transportation versus say the dinosaurs themselves so that's wonderful so all of these parts are laminated and the students are able to write on them and then race them sorry Kim go ahead always gonna say even what MS said you don't necessarily hold card at one time you don't absolutely or shion's yeah for sure definitely so in addition to lesson Intervention Cards cards there are also intervention cards and what we knew what we learned from talking to grade two teachers was that some students needed a little bit more and so we've embedded 44 intervention cards that are designed as a lesson themselves and you'll see that the structure is exactly the same but it's been designed to really target small groups of students or pairs of students where they might need to work a little bit more on the concept of making ten before they make groups of ten and so this will focus on prior learning earlier on in the developmental stage of that understanding that you saw coming from the learning progression and so these intervention cards exist in the kit as well organized by strand the same way that they would be just like the learning progression another piece that we heard from grade 2 teachers was that Math Everyday Cards they wanted an opportunity to be able to revisit ideas over and over again to help build that confidence and fluency in some cases for students so there are 22 math everyday cards they look like this they're double-sided they provide two to four activities for every cluster and a cluster is kind of like a unit so there's a skip counting unit and so you'd have four little activities that you could use that require minimal setup and they can be done in five-minute bursts when you have a few minutes here and there to help build and revisit some of those concepts and so if we think about the little books and also actually the activity cards you've got the open access at home as well as mythology CA and so I'll show you that here so if you go to Pearson Canada see a back slash at home you may have already stumbled upon the little books and those are all available with no login no password until June 30th and you can access the k23 books in English and in French you can toggle back and forth in the top right hand corner to access all of those stories as well as the parent information so all 72 of our stories are there and if you have a chance you can go and check that out when we're done in addition we also have great one and two Mythology CA mythology CA so all of the books and all of the cards have been put into one digital platform that we call mythology CA I'm gonna give you a walkthrough in just a moment and so currently grade 1 & 2 is available and grade 3 is coming but currently there is open access until June 30th so if you haven't had a chance to go check it out I recommend you do so after this so one thing that we know is really important is that there's a series of books and activities but we want to know how does it line up to the learning progression and how does it line up to the curriculum expectations or the outcomes for your individual province so on our website at Pearson methyl UGA you're able to access all the correlations and so here I just have a nap shot of a grade 1 but there's one for every grade and for every province and it's available in a doc or a PDF and you're able to see the expectations the activity kick the little books and the learning progression that's being meant by using some of those cards and activities so let's go into mythology ta Mythology TA what we've done is like I said put all the books and all the cards in one place and we've optimized it by giving you some support in these five core functionalities the ability to search to plan to teach to assess and track and for some professional learning and so all of those are available in one place and so we'll just go into mythology ta now here dismissal these all right so when you log in you come to this home page and Search this home page allows you to do searching in three different ways the first way that you can search is by searching by a keyword so in this open panel I can type in any keyword addition perhaps and hit search and then I can narrow it down by my grade grade to buy a book an activity or a little book we have consolidation and intervention lessons as well that I mentioned today I'm going to do an activity and by strand we know many cards will address multiple strands like you noticed in that card that I showed you earlier but I'm going to narrow down to number and so here I've got 23 results for addition in grade two that's an activity in the number strand and so that's the first way to search and you can scroll down you can see all of the activities here the thumbnail you'll see it's a thumbnail of the actual card itself if there is no student card you'll see some of the manipulatives or some of the student work that might accompany a lesson like this and you've got a little about summary right there if I scroll back up to the top and go back home I can search in another way today I'm in my account so my curriculum is going to be Ontario I'm going to change the curriculum to grade two and you'll notice right off the bat I've got access to all three grades K 1 and 2 and when grade 3 comes in September I'll have access to that as well this is really helpful for combined grade teachers because you have access to the grades that you might need and so if I drop down any of these overall expectations I see a little magnifying glass and I can click on the magnifying glass and it will give me the five results that work on that specific expectation and I can see a little book through the thumbnail and I can also see the activities that correspond to that as well and if I'm not sure it also tells me in the tags this one's a little book and this one's an activity so if I go back home the third way to search is by the learning progression and won't spend too much time but here like I mentioned earlier it's organized into the five strands or for some provinces it's for but you can narrow it down and here you'll see the same little magnifying glass so if I click on the magnifying glass I can find any lessons that corresponds with naming sequences and Counting for word and so I've got these activities and some of them are K some of them are grade two interventions and some of them are grade one activities you can always take a look at the tag that's the best way to do it so the other piece that you've noticed here is these little pins and as you saw when I went through the lessons I was able to favorite an activity if I liked it and it went into my favorites and here's where you're able to add a pin or remove a pin and so that's really helpful for me because I can lay out my entire week and have it there on the front page so today I'm gonna go in and use some of the stories that I've already talked to you about because it'll be a little more familiar and make some more sense so I'll start with a little book here I'm gonna click on a rays bakery and all of them are structured in the same way you first see the about and it gives me a quick summary of what the book is about it gives me a reading level if I need it a math focus the curriculum expectations here you see mine says Ontario but for yours it will say you're given province the learning progression will be highlighted at the piece that's being addressed by using that story so we're looking at two different pieces for this story in the details tab here you have Details access to the little book itself if I click on the story here comes the read and an option which is another great way to be able to differentiate you saw the reading level and for some students that might be a bit challenging or it might be just another way to think about the story and so here all of the books have the option to listen to story so here's our muffin page I'll give you a listen good morning arrey says mr. McGregor I hope you made your famous muffins I want some for my meeting there will be nine of us your muffins are so good that I'll get two for each person so here you have the read option for those students that may need it you also have an activity that accompanies every one of these stories so you have that in there as well there's some ideas for things to be thinking about as you share the story you might be doing a read aloud or shared reading or if you're doing it virtually you might be reading the story alongside the students in your class and here are some probing questions that you might ask before you get going to get the students ready and thinking about the stories in the related resources you have access to all of the line masters that accompany this story so you'll see in a PDF and a Word document so I'm going to click on the PDF for example there's always a connection to a home in school so this is the access to the parent letter that I mentioned earlier on so here's the PDF version and so you have some suggestions for what a parent might do or a guardian might do to help support further understanding of this story while they're at home and you can share that store that line master with them just by downloading it the other Versions piece is the word version so if you want to you're welcome to modify it for the needs of the kids in your class another way that's really great to help differentiate that learning and so we also have other different types you'll see here there's some baking trays there's a grid game if I click on that there's an opportunity to play a game to reinforce some of this some of this concept with your students they can play at home and if there's even problem solving so you've got some problem-solving that accompanies every one of the stories as well and you've got multiple versions that you're of course welcome to modify yourself but you can see the differentiation built in here from having some visuals and a little more space to draw out some of your thinking and then other examples where they might be using grid paper or doing it in a notebook and then sending it off to you so all of those line masters are available for each one of those stories and you've got that there okay so that's Questions this story the little book and I know I've moved pretty quick so I'm gonna give you a chance if you have any questions or maybe Kim if any questions came up before I go into the activity and that we can address before we move there's just some questions about a grade tree but I think we've answered that and we'll talk more kind of about the whole family to it at the end what may be interested in that that's all over now that's great okay sounds good but in the meantime if you want to peek at some of the grade three stories the little books are already available in mythology ta but the lessons themselves the activities will be coming in September so laughing sorry yes of course will the grade three webinar coming up be much like this session it would be very much like this session I will give you a sneak peek of what the grade three lesson itself looks like but otherwise as far as structure goes it'll be very similar but the grade three looks a little different in terms of the resources in terms of cards what's in dossier it does and so we'll unpack how it's the same and how it's different from great to great thank you no problem and about is there one copy of the class or does each student have access to the little books so the little books you can share the digital version with them unless you purchase it in print and then you can when you purchase the story you get five little books and one teacher guide and right now anybody can go in and click on the digital version right Miranda yes so if you go to the at home site you're able to take a look at all of the stories from k23 they're all available in that one spot and you're welcome to use them until June 30th with the parent letters accompanying each one of those stories so I'm not quite sure if Sheryl your question is about the student the student cards how many copies generally they the copies of the little books come five copies for like a small group shared and then a teacher's guide and then she's talking about the cards so again at the end we've got a slide that shows how many books how many cards in each of the grades yeah the research per grade was different so that cards sometimes the amount of cards per grade might be different so we'll go over that at the end too absolutely so I'm going to go into this grouping to count card because you're familiar with what it looks like so it gives you a little bit of information again about the lesson its structured the exact same way as a story and so as you scroll down you get access to the curriculum that corresponds any processes or competencies that are being met by using this for a card like this or a story and then the learning progression again highlighted but you can see easily where they're coming from and where they'll be going to after they master this idea so if I scroll back up to the top and go to the details tab here's a visual of almost exactly like Details Tab the card itself we've got the green panel at the top that indicates grade two all your line masters that are necessary are right here up at the top again in PDF and Word you've got a your lesson is all built in here before what to do and your consolidation some tips for how to differentiate including that combined grade extension for those of you that have that combined grade we mentioned what to look for things that you might be paying close attention to as your students engage in some of these activities and the probing questions that you may ask and then the cards themselves that would be in print you've got access to a digital copy of the card itself here so the front and the back of the teacher card and then the student cards themselves are also available here you can see them all here and we talked about interest so for those of them that like bugs you've got that here the dinosaurs for those that need additional support you've got the ten frames in here as well and you've also got a completed version of what one student might do and how other students might think about it so you've got that option in there as well and then interactive tools so for some teachers that are connecting with their students they might need a tool to model or show some of the pieces that you might be talking about and so you've got an interactive tool there as well let me just jump back to the page so all the things that you need really to help you teach that lesson are going to be in the details tab as far as assessment Assessment Tab goes I won't spend too much time but it's a copy of the back of the card just in a digital format so you're able to upload your class I've used just made-up names but I can load up my class I can click on a student when I see them display this particular behavior and drop them in I can click on multiple students and drop them in at the same time and I can add notes so perhaps I saw mark doing something really specific I can click and add a note about what I saw in addition there's next steps we mentioned that there's next steps in the moment and so it gives you it a suggestion for something that you might do to help move the students along that progression and so here you've got the eight so you'd go across the top and then you move into the second layer across the bottom and so it moves sort of along this pathway okay so that's the assessment component and then the related resources so once you've taught the lesson and you realize that perhaps Related Resources some of my students just need a little bit more practice or they might need an intervention or they might need an extension for some of those students in our class this is a great way to differentiate so if I drop down any of them you'll see that there's a mini lesson itself that I might walk students through or I might provide them with practice or I might do both that's up to the needs of the kids in your class you have that option the little print button to print it out or to be able to use it with your students and so you've got the extension here as well the mini lesson and the practice and so that's been really helpful to be able to differentiate for the knees in classroom we also have possible misconceptions as well and after the lesson so next steps in class you might not be using that so much these days but next steps at home absolutely here's the parent letter version just like you had for the little the little books and again a printable copy that you're able to share you've got word wall words for some definitions and then of course the related lesson so once you've finished that lesson you might go to another lesson that's related you've got a little the title there to help give you a quick glance of what it is and then the arrows to help you move and if you need an intervention that'll be there as well recommended lessons and then you've got the math everyday card to revisit this idea even further to revisit it over and over again so you've got that in the digital version as well on the right hand side you have the option for some professional learning that tucks away if you don't need it but it's always there we have little videos that have been made to accompany each one of the lessons we've got learning highlight videos and learning connexion videos the learning highlight video is going to give you some support for the lesson itself so there one minute short videos and I'll give you a little sneak peek of one of them right now how do your students group to count do they choose the group size that is not easily skip counted for example seven then use a hundred chart to skip count 7 14 21 and so on or do they make equal groups that they can easily skip counts for example groups of 5 5 10 15 and so on 275 do students realize the importance of including leftovers in the count 76 77 78 79 how many different ways of grouping do students find do they see that as the group size increases the number of groups decreases do they realize that the total does not change no matter how objects are grouped [Music] so for every one of the lessons you've got an accompanying learning highlight video that hovers around one minute each time I'm not gonna go into the learning connexion video but I encourage you to go check it out yourself this is to show an unpack how this idea develops over time and so it uses the learning progression and features books and cards from k23 to show how that idea develops over time so you've got access to that as well the last piece that I want to talk about is the planning component we know that it can be tricky to start but we built some plans to make it easier for you we've got some samples in here that if you go into the plan the sample plans will populate and here I'm going to use the grade to sample long-range plan of course there's different options but I'm going to click on the sample long-range plan and if I decide that this is the one for me this looks pretty good I see that it goes from counting to number relationships to patterns patterns again and it develops over time if that looks pretty good to me I'm gonna use this as my sample plan name it 2020 2021 save it and can actually adapt it for the way that Changing the Sequence I'd like so I'm able to adapt the sequence and so I might just drag and drop a book further down because maybe I want to go book card card card book card card card just to switch things up or maybe I want to change up the sequence because I'd rather work on perhaps bridging tens after I work on counting forward so all I'm doing is I'm picking up the lesson and I'm dragging and dropping it you see the little hand but another way is to use the arrows to go up and down here you see the pin that will bring that to your front page as well and a new feature that we've heard from teachers they were wondering about keeping track of what they've already completed and what they haven't and so we've added a new complete feature so if I click on complete for these two and I go back to my counting you'll see the count changed from 2 from 0 of 13 to 2 of 13 so I've completed 2 of those 13 lessons of course I'm welcome to delete anything that I need to I can click clear all the lessons that have been completed and I can always change the sequence so perhaps I want to start with patterns same thing drag and move it up to the top but of course I can use the arrows as well my computer is a little tired today so it takes a second but of course once it's good it will just move so I can use the arrows as well that's another way to change it you just need to give it a second and it'll move another thing that you can do is add in other lessons so perhaps there's something else that you want to think about at the same time as counting you might be going into a skip counting pattern and so you might look for a patterning card you might scroll down narrow it down to some patterning cards and so you can look at some of the patterning cards that you might want to add into the mix of your counting sequence the other thing you can do is add a non mythology lesson and so you're welcome to use lessons that you've tried that are tried and true and you than before and you know and love them and your students do as well and you're able to add them in this way into your plan once you've decided your plan is great and it works for you you can go ahead and export it to a doc some people prefer to write notes outside of the platform but you're welcome to write notes in here as well and you can also share it with a colleague that has Sharing Patterns mythology CA as well if I click on share I can type in the email address of my colleague that also has mythology dossier and I can share the plan that I've built with them and so that's been really helpful as well so I'm going to go back to home and I'll stop for just a moment and see if there's any other questions Kim while I'm in here yeah so the one that just came up and maybe this is a Patti question if we work on this now for next year and they would start planning but we're working on the free trial will we lose it so that will anything that you build right now and if you start it now it's associated to your email address so if you get access to it in September it will all be there because it's associated to your email yeah so the free trial ends at the end of June so if for some reason your board didn't purchase it but purchases it in September then that your account can just be reinstated again yep exactly the question is how can they share with a substitute oh um so the only issue is that the substitute would have to have the your password so or they'd have to have an account of their own so what I would probably recommend is use some of the options here that have a print component I might share that with a substitute rather than sharing my password but if they have an account of their own you're of course welcome to share with their email but I probably would stick to the stuff that's um printable and I can leave that for a supply teacher so perhaps I leave this card so that they're not having to login into my account Thanks no problem okay so let's go back and I'm gonna give you a quick second to enter into the chat you saw a lot of stuff I walked you through very quickly and I know many of you are brand new but I want you to think about one thing that you saw that you think might be really helpful to you in mythology a it could be maybe engagement or flexibility or any of the following or something else that you thought would be really helpful so I'm gonna give you a second to drop into the chat what do you think might be really helpful to you in mythology dossier okay so we see the year plans the assessment the videos again the long-range plans the assessment especially the ease of observation the ability to combine grade expectations yeah and pull them up and put them right in the plan together that is so easy to do planning and differentiation customizing the plan again pre-made plans a lot of pre-made plans and differentiation absolutely oh that's so good that did it's just user friendly that's what one person is saying it's just user friendly that's awesome so I encourage you you'll probably forget half of what I've said but go in and play around with it test it out try it change the plan adapt it that's the best way to get to know it I can show you everything and we'll turn it off and in an hour you'll help probably have the same question so I encourage you to go in and check it out that's the best way to learn it for sure so I'm gonna keep moving I'm gonna do a quick recap we mentioned that the little books include an indigenous perspective the note from Recap the author to help incorporate some of those teachings are in the front cover and they've been included on the at home site and you can check those out yourself we mentioned that everything's French Immersion been adapted for French immersion here you see the story kokum spanic has been adopted in french and the read and listen option is available in the french story as well as the activity kit in French as well here you have the option to search by keyword by Learning Progressions curriculum by learning progression you can even search by title if you're familiar with some of the print components or you know the title of the book that you want to look for you can search just by looking for the title so you've got that option there as well the planning tool lots of you mentioned you've got sample long-range plans you Planning Tool can add remove lessons you can download you can share with friends so all those options are in there as well as far as Teaching teaching goes you've got access to the mythology little books the projectable cards and the interactive tools you've got the mini lessons that we mentioned and of course next steps at home that could be really useful during this time Differentiation differentiation of course there's too much to fit all on one page but of course all of the line masters are modifiable you've got the option to read and listen to the story as far as the activities go right on the card you've got how to differentiate in those three ways with an accommodation and extension or combined grade tips but you've also got the option for mini lessons if you want to dig deeper and you've got the intervention cards if you wanted to even further into supporting those students in your class assessment many of you Assessment pointed out you've got options for the assessment I did not go into the analytics today but I encourage you in the top right corner you've got analytics and it works on a red light green light system so you can see at a glance how your class is doing but also how individual students are doing and this has been really helpful as you have conversations with parents or support team meetings to help support the students to see at a quick glance how they're doing based on all their assessments and then professional Analytics learning we've got those short just-in-time videos the one-minute videos to help you with every single activity as well as the learning connexion videos that help you understand how that concept develops over time and those sit at about five minutes so mythology Dacia has got so much it adds up you've got access in da ta to Mythology all three grades come September of all the lessons currently you already have access to all the little books they're already in there including very three in English or in French the 72 little books you've got over a hundred student cards that support those activities you've got over 200 professional learning videos over 200 line masters that accompany all of those books and cards and even interactive tools we've attached to each one of those lessons and so you've got a value of over twenty-five hundred dollars for a hundred and forty dollars for one year so patty I'll let you speak to the next slide oops face Brenda and By Now and Sage at this point we just want to share with you that we do have a by now and Sage until July 15th if you're in the position or your school or district is in a position to purchase resources that would be that would be a good time and you can see that for mythology ta it is 140 per teacher per year or 665 for five years so there's a bit of a savings there and we also have digital print options we're not sure what back-to-school is going to look like but know that mythology has both digital and print options and you buy mythology ta that opens up some discounts resources math little books and the activity cards perfect sorry right so grade three as I mentioned Grade Three Tools grade three is coming and it was field tested just this fall with teachers across Canada we had teachers from many different provinces testing it out for us and so we classroom tested it to make sure that grade threes still want activity cards the dry race cards that they can write on we tested to make sure the little books still work mythology CA itself as well as the math maps and so these are a series of tools that are used as students move through each one of the lessons um they've got accompanying cards that we have that are laminated that they can write on to help show their thinking and so here are all the components you got the 18 stories in grade three the little books combination of fiction and nonfiction you've got access to the mathematics like I mentioned and these math mats are going to be for grade three and created before it's gonna incorporate any mats that they might need things like grids and you see a blank thinking space here you've got number lines we've got closed ones and open number lines there's about 30 or so different math mats in there as well and then again the double-sided differentiated cards to help encourage some of that thinking and to support student learning in mathematics and so you'll see that there and so if somebody mentioned earlier how many copies of each so if we look at the little books you get one teacher guide and five little books if you get it in print and if you get this in print you get ten copies of each card so ideally students would work in pairs or you might have small groups of students working individually on them and then these are sold in a coil bound booklet and so I'd like to end off with showing you our Pearson mythology Twitter account we add tips on there every week and of course teachers are always sharing what they love and what they've used and found helpful for the on our Twitter account so please follow us and show us what you're using and so Contact Information our last little piece is who to contact for more information so if you're interested in finding out more here are the names of your reps in your area you might take a second to either screen grab this page or take a photo and these are who you will need to contact for more and so on behalf of me and Kym and Patti and anybody else who's there on the line helping me out from Pearson thank you so much for joining us if you have any questions we'll be here for about 10 minutes or so but Kym there might be some questions that came in just now that we can address yeah and maybe this is a Patti questions we've had a couple questions about you know the cost for digital but then how much for the little books how much for the kits yeah so what I would recommend because there's so many different options and permian tations that you could be interested in focus on the screen that you have see right now find your local rep and let them know what you're thinking open and they can help you help support you with the different combinations and what that might look like and then the question comes in where do I find the combined grade options so if you're in mythology say you can search by one grade or another and so you might go in if you're a one two for example and you have predominantly a grade two class or predominantly a grade one class you might use the plans adopt the grade one plant and then bring in grade two lessons along the way but that choice is up to you we know that combined grades have so many different possibilities and so we haven't built a set grade a combined grade option because we know there's so many options but I'd recommend using one of the grades and then bringing in the opposite grade to help support that Zoey it also might be that the free version you were able to register for one grade only once you purchase it you get all the grades Wow yes I believe that prior I believe the trial you had to sign up for but when you purchase you get access to all and then Miranda I do have the survey Oh wonderful so Kim's gonna drop the survey in we've got another one coming on Thursday we had a person who just asked that question will it be different of course it'll be structured very similarly but I'm gonna talk about sort of the different components of grade three what stayed the same and what's changed as a result of the research that we did with classroom teachers so I'll be walking you through and showing you one of the sample lessons and also showing you some of the grade two that you have access to in the meantime while you wait because I'd encourage you as a grade three teacher to explore the grade two because it will be very
