A New Social Studies Series
this is an overview to the digital
components of the new inquiring minds
social study series designed and
developed to provide a student-centered
user-friendly flexible and engaging set
of resources to fully support grades
three four five six and seven teachers
and students in British Columbia in this
video I'll explain how you can access
the digital components and we'll spend
some time learning how to use them the
Digital Resources
three digital components of this program
are the online student etext which is a
digital version of the print student
resource the online teacher guide which
is the student etext with embedded
teacher content at point of use and the
online companion website which is an
online repository of engaging resources
designed to motivate students and help
to develop their thinking and inquiry
skills these resources follow the same
structure at all grade levels throughout
this presentation you will see sections
from all the grades when you purchase
Student eText Access
the online student etext you will
receive an email from us with the access
code and instructions for registering
you create one username and password for
each student the accounts you create are
valid for seven years so we encourage
you to make the usernames generic as you
will be sharing them with new students
each year once you have finished
registering your students go to WWE and
Canada's EA / Pearson e-text and they
click login register and they input
their username and password for
information on how to use the online
e-text please see the separate video

student etext when you purchase the
Teacher eGuide Access
online teacher a guide you will receive
an access card with the access code and
instructions for registering follow the
instructions inside the card to create a
username and password for yourself the
account you
create is valid for seven years this
access code can be used by three
teachers in one school to create their
own accounts if you need more codes just
let us know once you have finished

when you purchase multiple copies of the

student text you will receive an access
card for registering for the online
companion website follow the
